Tesco Broccoli Surprise

One stowaway that makes good with new home.

Paula Walsh got a side order of reptile with her salad.

When Paula's daughter said there was something moving in the broccoli, she wasn't expecting a four inch lizard to be at home in the Tesco vegetables.

Tenko the Tesco gecko has now taken up residence with the family after being checked over by the local vet.  A spokesman for Tesco is pleased the lizard has found a good home.

"Rigorous and thorough processes" were not enough to pick up Tenko at either port of departure or the destination port.  If a 4 inch lizard can get through the obvious question is "what else can escape the rigorous checks?"
