Dog Emergency Has Happy Ending

In this story in the Enterprise News the life of a dog was saved because of a Pet Hospital being opend 365 days and 24 hours.

Debbie's dog, thoughtfully named "Dog," was the unfortunate victim of a collision with a car.  She rushed Dog to VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth where they were able to take care of him, even on Christmas Eve.

This was only one of the many tales of rescue and recovery that the hospital performed on the eve of Christmas.

The moral of the story is to make sure you know what hours your local pet hospital or veterinarian is open. 

Also make sure you have the numbers written down incase of an emergency.  You don't want to be having to hunt through the phone book trying to find a place that is open when faced with an emergency - those few minutes could save your pets life.

Especially during the holiday season, when you are likely to have pet sitters, it is a good idea to have an "Emergency Plan" written up so that your sitters also know who call and what to do in the case of a pet emergency.
