125 Year Old Cat Claims The Oldest Cat Crown.

Mischief  is 27 years old in human years and according to the World Records Academy (http://www.worldrecordsacademy.org) that puts him in the oldest cat alive spot.

Mischief by name but tired by nature, his owners claim that the secret to his success is pure laziness.  He might be 27 years old, but he has only been awake for 9 years, as he sleeps an extraordinary 16 hours a day.

Chris and Donna Thorne of Cornwall say they have never spoilt mischief and just eats what he is given.  This consists of dry cat food every day and meat every second day.  Although he will eat anything he can find and his desire for food is second only to his desire to sleep.

Surviving to be the oldest cat in the world means Mischief has experienced a few things.  One of his lives was lost in 1990 when he was hit by a motorcycle.  That accident him cost him an eye, but left no other permanent damage. Even at 125 the holder of the oldest cat crown can still manage a sprightly jump over the stair gate.

Mischief still has 11 years to go before he can claim the oldest cat ever title.  The amazing Creme Puff lived for 38 years. It seems even the cats in Texas have to do everything bigger!
