Illegal Overstayer Saved By Cat
In a bizzare ruling by Senior immigration judge Judith Gleeson, a South American man was granted residency because of a cat.
The cat, who's name has official suppression, was used by the South American overstayer to prove that he was in a committed relationship with his girlfriend and had settled in Britain.

Home Office officials did not find the cat excuse as compelling in the case of the man who was an over-stayer of 4 years and they made an appeal. The judge did not back down, and granted both the man and his cat name suppression.
Will pets now be the first thing that immigrants seeking asylum purchase? After all, it goes against human rights to separate people from their pets.
What do you think? Is this a good thing, or will pets ultimately end up losers in a game that makes them pawns?
