Subject: Pet Crazy Or Plain Crazy?
Content: Only In America - Surely. I am assuming there has to be more to this story than meets the eye, but a woman in Florida is suing a pet cemetery for not keeping her squirrel monkey's grave in order. Now it sounds reasonable on the face of it, after all, Janet Steiner paid to have her pet monkey buried in the cemetery. And no doubt maintenance was included in the fee. But this was back in 1994. And the cemetery had just been hit by the 2004 hurricanes. They also were expected to mow the grass every week. So now Steiner is suing for $500, the cost of the original burial plus the fees of having her pet relocated. The judge is going to inspect the cemetery before making a decision. Is it me, or does this woman need to get out more? Let the poor animal rest in peace! source
